Data helps us tell a story.

Arno Parolini, Stats With Purpose

Hi, I’m Arno — a data science and evaluation specialist. I help turn complex data into clear, actionable insights. I work with human and health service organisations to help them better understand what’s working, what’s not, and where to go next.

Through my consultancy, Stats With Purpose, I support organisations to build internal capability in data analysis and evaluation — whether through tailored training, hands-on mentoring, or delivering high-impact evaluation projects that don’t just sit on a shelf.

Before launching Stats With Purpose, I held senior roles at Family Safety Victoria and the Victorian Disability Worker Commission, and I’ve worked across academic institutions in Europe and Australia. I hold a PhD in economics (with a focus on behavioural public economics and applied econometrics), as well as master’s degrees in both economics and business administration.

I’m currently a Senior Honorary Fellow at the University of Melbourne and work with the California Child Welfare Indicators Project at UC Berkeley. My research and consultancy work often focus on the intersection of family violence, child protection, and implementation science.

With over 30 research and evaluation projects under my belt — and publications in leading international journals — I bring a unique mix of academic rigour and practical problem-solving to every project.

If you’re looking for someone who combines strategic thinking, analytical depth, and a collaborative mindset to deliver real-world results, I’d love to connect.
